The Lados Group

The Lados Group is a 16-page story inside the comics anthology ‘Gerne würdest du allen so viel sagen’ (“You would like to say so much to everyone”) presenting 16 documentary comic stories, produced during the project Living Archive, organized by the Pilecki Institut Berlin. The content of the stories range from the drastic events of the 20th century to the current challenges for democracy.

The collection is divided into three sections: on the one hand, the personal stories passed down in the family about war and displacement. On the other hand, the authors provide insights into biographical experiences and, finally, current observations in the context of memory. To develop the stories, the institute facilitated the communication between the artists, the Institute staff, researchers and historians.
