Wolof ABC

In December 2019 I spent one month in Saint-Louis, Senegal, as an artist-in-residency of the independently run WAAW studio , with the task of creating support material for the Wolof classes (the main Senegalese language) in a school of more than 1400 pupils.

We developed, with the help of local teachers, artists and artisans, an illustrated ABC classroom kit of the Wolof language, which was then hand-produced in fabric in collaboration with the professionals and suppliers around the city.
