Chubby Bambino

Chubby Bambino is a collaborative artistic duo comprising visual anthropologist Costanza Parigi and artist Clayton Junior. Together, they combine the practices of visual anthropology and documentary imagery with drawing, illustration and other forms of visual storytelling. Working with photography, drawing, painting, collage and video, Chubby Bambino develops projects that explore the possibilities for dialogue between different languages and ways of working.

Self-publishing plays a central role in this practice: the duo conceives and produces fanzines (independent publications) for each project, from research and creation to editing, printing and distribution.

Alongside their visual and editorial output, they run workshops on self-publishing for a variety of audiences, focusing on observation and experimentation as creative practices.
