O Mar de Dentro

Mar de Dentro is a publication resulting from four years of therapeutic painting without any preconceived aim. When practised alone, these sessions took on a meditative quality; when undertaken in groups of friends, they became a pastime and a form of social painting.

The process of editing the work proved to be a second, highly sensory practice: the sequences and connections emerged intuitively, and the combination of the images from the paintings with the digital photographs taken during the same period revealed surprisingly related patterns and colour combinations, creating a visual narrative depicting a long period of discovery and somatic-creative processing.
